Basket Vanessa

Our Basket Vanessa was made by the association "Tejedoras Juanita" (ASTEJU) consisting of 250 women, mainly single mothers, from the community of Sandoná - Nariño.

For these women, their work is essential, as it is the only way for their families to earn a living. These mothers are also the inheritors of this special craft, which has been passed down from generation to generation. With great dedication, they weave the iraca (leaves of the Panama palm) into various products.
